Yas Marina Circuit stands on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi and is straightforward to set in navigation by name. On an event weekend the roads on and around the island are managed for the event, so follow the signage and marshals on the day rather than the route you drove last time.

Parking at the circuit is limited: a number of zones operate on event days and access to them is for pass holders. If you are not travelling with a parking pass, plan around the shuttles or a taxi rather than on finding a space when you arrive.

Free event shuttles run from major Yas Island stops and from selected partner hotels. Uber, Careem and local taxis are widely available and serve the island throughout the day. If you are staying on Yas Island, several hotels are within walking distance of the circuit.

Getting home afterwards

Leaving is the busy part of the day: it gets very busy immediately after the chequered flag, when everyone heads for the same shuttles and pick-up points at once. Many regulars stop at one of the venues nearby and let the crowd thin out before travelling.
